Steve Irwin
I was sitting there, yesterday afternoon, doing my work order, which consisted of modifying an sql statement to update prices for items in one of our customer’s catalogs, running the sql statement, then modifying it again for a new set of items… then running it, then modifying it, then running it, ad infinitum. I thought to myself, “Steve Irwin would have done this for about 10 seconds, then realized how stupid and boring and pointless it was, then quit & run off to do something exciting and fun”. I then continued modifying, running, modifying, running… sigh…
By the way, another excellent cartoon at www.xkcd.com. When Allison showed me this one, she said “Is there ever a time when this cartoon *doesn’t* speak directly to me?” 
(although, I’m afraid that the *current* one about Missy Elliot & cryptography is going over my head right now)
