Adult female fixed cat is spraying
Yes - spraying urine. 
She just started doing this in the past week or so. We’ve had her ever since she was about 1 year old (she’s 9 years old, now). She was a pregnant stray when we got her.
They say the reason cats start spraying is due to stress. Stress related to territory issues (another cat in the house or neighborhood), usually.
I can’t figure out why she’s doing it, though (or what to do about it). There have been no changes to the pet population in our house. We have added BIL David to the house. And, the hamster did have babies. I wonder if either of those is bothering her. Or, if there is another territorial dispute going on between her and some of the other cats.
Any advice? She’s declawed & fixed - I wonder if we can/should let her be an outdoor cat - if that will at least encourage her to spray outside.
I’m thinking I’m going to have to throw away the beat up bean bag chairs, which I was in the midst of re-covering, because they are too stinky & I don’t think I can get them clean Just another expense if we get more of them… But, maybe I can make up new ‘floor cushions’ out of the fabric & filling that we already have.
