The Golden Rule
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
I don’t think that people take this far enough, sometimes. Or, maybe it’s just that they don’t see it the same way as I do.
To me it’s not “I’m going to treat others the way that I would want them to treat me”.
It’s “I’m going to think about how others would like to be treated, knowing that it might not be the same way that I would like to be treated, and try to treat them that way, if I can”.
Not that I always succeed. But, that’s what The Golden Rule means to me.
It’s good to keep that in mind.
