Robots
Kids in tub, I’m sitting there talking to them. Daydreaming about the future. Said to Shelby, “Maybe one day, when you’re teenagers, you & Robert & Kaya will be spending time down in the basement, hanging out & playing video games”
Annie said, “What about me?”
“Well, you’re a girl.”, I said, “You’ll be bringing them drinks when they’re thirsty, making them sandwiches, picking up after them. That’s what girls do.” 
She looked at me & said, “You’re thinking about robots, mom”
