Spent the last couple days in Liberty City

Been busy - quick update…

Last week, I got a call saying that I had won a trip to NYC in a sweepstakes sponsored by Gamestop. Had to travel on 4/27, to be there on 4/28 for the GTA IV launch event, where I would get to participate in the Niko’s Lockbox contest for a chance to win $10,000!

We had already had plans for a weekend in Indianapolis with the kids & another family at a waterpark hotel -and- I freaked out about being away from the kids on school nights… But, plans were made, bags were packed, babysitters were found & I’ve been off work & travelling since last Friday.

We had a great time in Indy - it’s so nice seeing Jim relaxing & talking with his old college buddy. The kids had fun, too. Then, rushed home, traded out suitcases, left the kids with a sister & headed off to NYC. There were airplane delays & changes, it rained all day Monday, I ended up winning $500 (which is better than $100, anyway!), we walked around Times Square all day, spent a few minutes in Central Park, slept late on Monday, ate at a fabulous restaurant for dinner, bought souvenirs for the kids & then came home early on Tuesday.

Now, I’ve just got to win a trip to American Idol, next :D
