It is so very hard to pick just one
How do you choose just one picture for the day?
I take them throughout the day. The ones that are blurry, because I’m taking them on the camera phone, are eliminated, but with regret.
Then, I’m left with… Kids sitting together on back seat of bus - lone sunflower in yard, tall but drooping - jim’s new website - broken sink - sink dismantled - hardware store choice of faucets - fixed sink - shelby, face streaked with mud…
And, that was just today’s decision. There are so many more pics in my folders for each day that tell the rest of the day - Allison in her chamber choir dress, Annie blowing a bubble with gum, Jim making dinner while I get ready for PTO meeting, Charlie standing up by the stove, cats being cute, toys, beautiful skies, rainy skies…
I think that’s a part of the challenge, though, whittling it down to just one. I’m sure that I’ll learn something about simplicity or priorities or letting things fall away or knowing that even if there is only one, there is so much more behind it… Not sure, really, what the lesson will be, but I’m looking forward to figuring it out
